Remember Simon? The classic game with 4 colored buttons that light up in a pattern that you remember, then replay by hitting the colored buttons in the same order. Well these damn kids who wont get off my lawn don't like having to press buttons anymore so the new Simon uses motion sensors to detect when your hand is over the light now. It is also an upright ring now….

Ok, maybe I am giving it a bit of a hard time. There are some new tricks that the old Simon in my basement can not do. The main thing are the new combinations. Instead of just one light going sometimes two lights will come on. This requires you to use both hands to hover over the lights at the same time. Then there is the swoop in where three lights come on and you have to swoop your hand over the device. The game also has a two player mode in which you have to work with a friend to hit 4 lights and perform holds. 

So I was never a fan of the original game and this one is no different. I just find that the game is fun up until it is impossible and then you want to go do something else. I think that Simon Air has enough new tricks to be interesting but I just don't see the fun in it after ten minutes myself.
